Music and Intuition

Seventeenth of September is International Country Music Day, so I’m listening to a few old with a few old country favourites and of course, thinking of Dolly P.

Whether country is your style of music or not, music plays a role in living an intuitive life.  Music and lyrics can bring you signs that just need to hear at that particular time. Have you ever turned on the radio/device and a song plays that has just the right lyrics and words that you needed to hear?  One that  happens to me a lot is when I walk into a store with music playing and that exact thing happens, there are lyrics that I needed to hear and act as a sign to engage my intuition, to shift or lift my mood or to soothe my soul.

The funniest example I have of this is also one of the saddest.  After leave the hospice after my mum passed, I got into the car and the radio automatically came on.  The song?  Every breath you take by The Police.  I felt that was my mum and the Universe, having a bit of a laugh with me and reminding me, that even though she had passed, in some way she will always be with me.

So next time you go somewhere or turn on some music, maybe pay attention to the lyrics and the song and listen for a sign or message.  Intuition does work I mysterious ways.

And if you are having difficulty finding your intuition and that inner voice, it’s okay.  You can just ask yourself, ‘What would Dolly do?’

My new mug to honour Dolly Parton is from The Spark Company.
