On a visit to an out of the way Buddhist Temple in Sra Lanka, I was fortunate enough to meet the resident Buddhist Monk who gave visitors a bracelet made of string. It was a lovely moment as he cut the string, tied it around my wrist and as he did so, gave me a blessing. I kept the it for as long as I could, but after a time I had to take it off. The blessing however, well, I believe that lives on.
