A New Year in March

If the thought of new year's resolutions or having to set goals just because it's January, drains every piece of energy in you - you are in good company.

This is a reminder for anyone who needs it today, you don't have to set resolutions in January, you don't have to decide to do anything in January, because for many of us, it is just not the season for it.

Maybe you are like me - and lots of others - that March is your time to feel 'a new year'. The arrival of Spring (for us here in the Northern Hemisphere), with lighter mornings and evenings gently eases you out of your soulful winter hibernation.

Did you know that 1st January was not always New Year's Day here in the UK?
Here is a little piece of history I learnt recently that reinforces my intuitive sense that March is my new year.

This is a snippet from 'Ruth's Journal', my new monthly newsletter.

Enjoy.
